Ask Dr. Carter

Are there plans for theater camps, related workshops and summer programs to engage the community?

The Department of Visual, Performing, and Communication Arts hosted a two-week summer dance camp in July 2013. The camp incorporated lessons on ballet, modern jazz, and other styles of dance. The experience even provided some of the community participants the opportunity to live on campus. Cost of the camp was $475, which included tuition, room, and board. The cost for commuting students was $325. The program will evaluate the addition of other arts camps as the department grows and community interest increases.
